Look it's me!!! 1st & 2nd place Talents for Christ National winners!
heck yess Baptist Bible College!!
| hey all, just a quick prayer request... We're leaving tomorrow after church for PA (well actually we're going to spend the night at camp and then go down to PA). What's in PA you ask? well lots of things really, but namely the GARBC Conference and National Talents for Christ. I'm going to Nationals! (wow that sounds scary) The competition is on Thursday (Writing) and awards service on Friday morning. But we're going down earlier so my parents can see BBC, since they've never been down there. So, I'm pretty psyched. As for the prayer request part, well, safety obviously (ROAD TRIP!) but mostly for me as I write (impromptu competition) - Clear thoughts and good memory (recalling Scripture) - but more than that I need prayer for my attitude - that my heart is in the right place and I'm motivated by the glory of Jesus Christ. If I win, Praise the Lord. If I lose, Praise the Lord - I'm writing for Jesus Christ not for scholarship (well some for scholarship). To God be the Glory! So, your prayers are greatly appreciated!! I know i can count on you!! Love to All, Emily | | |
| Wow...tonight was awesome.
Yesterday wasn't so great, but tonight was awesome.
I gave a testimony on prayer for Josh's breakout session on prayer...and i encouraged myself! (if that's possible...)
I talked about how prayer was such an amazing vital part of our Chicago missions trips...And to prepare i was reading through some of the things I had written about Chicago. It is making me miss it and I want to go back. [i love my icon] But anyways, I was so excited when I was giving my testimony on how God answered so many prayers immediately during the trip and it was so awesome..a definite turning point in my prayer life. I got myself all excited and ..wow..i probably talked too fast and rambled too much but i loved it...so amazing. God is good...and GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!!
I am happy tonight. =) God is good and i need to remember that spending more time in His Word and with Him alone encourages me so much...I can't ever get too busy to pray...only too busy not to pray. The more things I have to do, then the earlier I will get up to have devos....it should be the first on my list to do, not the first to knock off. Ok I'm done.
God is good and never ceases to amaze me at the things He teaches me!!

| k...just had a flashback of Pastor Jeff singing "I've Got a River of Life" ... I've got a river of life flowing out of me Makes the lame to walk and the blind to see Opens prison doors; sets the captives free *YEEHAAW!* I've got a river of life flowing out of me
Spring up, o well *splish splash* Within my soul Spring up, o well *splish splash splish splash* And make me whole Spring up, o well *gush gush gush gush* And give to me That life abundantly
...
We gotta bring that one back!!
